Working to address cumulative impacts
ACE Power is committed to assessing and mitigating project impacts that may also have the potential to contribute to cumulative impacts. Possible impacts where this may occur are changes to visual amenity, traffic and transport impacts, use of social services and infrastructure or land use impacts.
We have commissioned a specific Social Economic Impact Assessment Study to look at the potential for these impacts to occur in more detail.
We are also in regular contact with both local councils and EnergyCo to collaborate with them on how we can manage this specific community impact.
EnergyCo is looking specifically at the nature and extent of possible cumulative impacts in the New England region.
EnergyCo have developed an interactive map allowing users to explore the NSW REZs, including the New England REZ. The interactive map regularly provides up to date information about EnergyCo projects and private developments that are being planned for the local area. It’s a great central resource to get the most current publicly available information about what is being proposed.

The Hillview Energy Hub team will provide updates through project newsletters. Sign up to the newsletter (in the footer below) to stay up to date.
Renewable Energy factsheets
The Clean Energy Council has prepared a factsheet series that addresses key areas of concerns for regional areas and agricultural landowners where renewable energy generation, storage and new transmission is proposed for. These fact-based responses provide key insights that communities across Australia care about. Relevant to the Hillview Energy Hub, and our local engagement activities, there is useful information related to solar panel toxictiy, competing land-uses, propert values, and wind turbines and human health.
We also suggest visiting the Clean Energy Council's Energy Fact Check website, helping to answer common questions that community members have about the energy transition.
Hillview Energy Hub will develop a compressive benefit sharing package for key stakeholders, which takes into account consultation undertaken with the community to understand the needs and wants of all involved stakeholders.
